Build your Offer Wall email banner

The Offer Wall banner lets you monetize your emails with a single image. You place one banner in the emails you already send. When a shopper clicks it, they land on an Offer Wall that Disco hosts, and Disco picks the offers they see. Nothing renders inside the email itself.

How it works

  1. You build a banner in your own brand and add it to your emails.
  2. Your server builds a new signed link for each send, using keys you set up with Disco once at onboarding. There is no API call to Disco to create a link.
  3. A shopper clicks and lands on your Offer Wall, where Disco chooses the offers.

Your engineers build the link with Offer Wall link setup.

Who builds what

  • You: the banner, where it sits in your emails, and the link your server builds for each send.
  • Disco: your key ID and API key at onboarding, the Offer Wall page, and the offers on it.

Design rules

  • Your brand, your design. The one Disco element required is the Powered by Disco mark (below).
  • One clear call to action, such as "See your offers."
  • Lead with the offers, not with how the banner works.
  • Keep text large enough to read on a phone.
  • If you animate it, put the full message in the first frame. Some inboxes only show that frame.

The Powered by Disco mark

Powered by Disco

Use this badge in every banner: download the badge (PNG).

  • Show it at 160 px wide, with the height set to auto. The file is 320 × 79 px, so it stays sharp on high-resolution screens. Never show it smaller than 100 px wide.
  • Built into a banner image? Size it so it appears about 160 px wide in the email, and keep the whole badge visible.
  • Alt text: "Powered by Disco" when the badge is its own image. If it's part of one banner image, describe the banner's offer and action instead.
  • Keep the white pill and the space around it. Don't crop, recolor, stretch or redraw it.
  • Check it in light and dark mode on mobile and desktop before you send. Some email apps change images in dark mode.

Other versions, for layouts that need a transparent or one-color mark (all 320 × 79 px):

  • Gradient: transparent, for white or light backgrounds
  • White: transparent, for dark backgrounds
  • Black: one color, for light backgrounds
  • Full package (ZIP): SVG masters and every size

Copy rules

  • No cash or dollar amounts, such as "$20 to spend" or "cash back." The Offer Wall shows offers, not cash.
  • Don't use the phrase "free gift."

Size and file specs

Build to your email template and your email platform's limits. Disco adds no size rules of its own.

  • Link both the image and the call-to-action button to the link your server builds for that send. Offer Wall link setup covers how to build it.
  • Make sure the link reaches the shopper exactly as built. If your email platform re-encodes links, one changed character breaks it. Don't use a link shortener.

Which emails carry the banner

Before the banner goes out, tell your Disco contact which emails will carry it.

Before it goes live

Send a test email to your Disco contact. Together you'll click the banner on desktop and on mobile and confirm the Offer Wall loads with offers.
